I was playing around in the Christmas Valley Sand Dunes in the Oregon High Desert when a fearsome windstorm started picking up. I had to use manual focus to capture the dune and the wisps of sand lifting from its surface...auto focus doesn’t seem to like sand storms. I decided to take this photo on the side of this large dune with the amazing shadows. Not sure if any of this was worth nearly blinding myself from sand blowing in my eyes...
